OOTD: Polka Dot Love

Dress-Gifted
Tights-Kushy Foot
Shoes-Payless
Sweater-Forever21

I feel very 1920's in this outfit, which is great because I love the fashion! Very Gatsby if I do say so.
I stumbled across these polka dot...um...things on the ground when taking pics and it was the perfect spot for this polka dot outfit!
The hairstyle is one I stole from Zoe Sugg, I admit it! It's in one of her hair tutorial video's and I thought it was so cute! It's like getting a haircut without actually getting a hair cut. All the fun without the commitment. :D

Who's ready for a party at Gatsby's?

DIY: Chalk Hair Dye

There was a time when I had pink in my hair (with blonde) and also red. It took forever to get my hair back to blonde, and I'm the kind of person who would like to add crazy colors and then go back to blonde the next day...and hey! I found a way.

I'm sort of an artist so I have a lot of art supplies and I hadn't used my pastel's in forever! While browsing the internet I found someone talking about putting artist's chalk in hair to temporarily dye it cool colors, and it totally works!
Super easy too!

Just get whatever pastel colors you want. I went for blue and red (superman colors!). All I did was wet the chalk and a chunk of hair, then rub the chalk on it. After that I dried the hair with a hair dryer, although I think you can let it air dry, but I was crunched for time because I was about to film a video.

And that's it! It washes out too! If you have darker hair I imagine it might be a bit of a struggle to get the color to show, but apparently it's possible.

I've also heard that sidewalk chalk works too, but it's not very pigmented, so I'm going to stick with my art chalk. :)

Have you ever tried this??

MAC 'Speak Louder'

It's become a tradition that I get a MAC lipstick in my stocking every year for Christmas, and this year I got 'Speak Louder'! (Good job husband)
This is my first Cremesheen and I really like it. It's super moisturizing and comfortable to wear.
And the color is just gorgeous. It's a very natural pink, and it looks super pretty on.

I also like the name of this lipstick. Usually I think lipstick names are eye roll worthy, but this one's OK.
Speak louder.
It has a nice ring to it.

I think it makes a great everyday lipstick!

OOTD: Black and White

Hat-Target
Jacket-Gifted
Dress-Gifted
Tights-Sock Dreams

I think Black & White pictures are so beautiful. They're always my favorite, and I've never done a full outfit post in just black and white, but I think for these shots it works really well.

The cat tights really make this outfit special! They are my favorite find from Sock Dreams so far. If you're a crazy cat person, then these are the tights for you!

And I had been eyeing that hat for a while, finally giving in the last time I stopped in at Target. It's my perfect winter hat.
