OOTD: Daisy Shorts

Top-Papaya
Shorts-Papaya
Shoes-Charlotte Russe

These shorts are great for spring and summer, and I absolutely love the daisy print. They are super comfy which is something I'm always looking for.
The top is my favorite at the moment. I love the color and the cut off shoulders. It's nice and bright for a perfect casual spring outfit.

My favorite spring/summer color is definitely mint. What's your favorite spring color?

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains

My husband came home with these the other day. They are the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stains. They resemble the Colorburst balms, but are totally different products. These stain your lips, so are much longer lasting than the Colorburst balms. If comparing the two I would choose these ones because I want my lips to stay pretty and pink all day.

The first color is called Honey.

And the second color is Sweetheart.

I love both of these colors, especially Honey because I can use it with pretty much everything.

I'm definitely interested in picking up more colors.

Something to note is that they do have that same minty smell as the Colorbursts, and I know that bothers some people. Also, the Colorbursts are more moisturizing than these, but keep in mind they are a stain, so that's to be expected.

Has anyone else tried these?

Essie Nail Polish

go ginza, mint candy apple, muchi muchi

madison ave-hue, avenue maintain

I hadn't tried Essie nail polish until about a month ago. I had heard so much hype around this product, and so I wanted to try it out.
Before this nail polish I used to never wear anything on my nails. It was too much of a hassle.

The first color I bought was Mint Candy Apple, and it's still my favorite color nail polish ever! If you're looking for the perfect mint nail polish for spring, it's a winner!
I've been building a collection now and I couldn't be happier. Essie is my favorite, and there's no turning back.

It goes on smoothly and lasts a decent amount of time. I'd say 3-4 days of wear.

Have you tried this nail polish? What's your favorite shade?

OOTD: Easter

Dress- ASOS
Shoes- Charlotte Russe

I thought this dress looked so elegant and sweet. I was really drawn to it because of the long sleeved lace. It's Exactly what I wanted for Easter. I went to church today and spent some time with my family, doing an Easter egg hunt with my little nieces and nephews.

What did you do for Easter?

Mickey Ears-Disneyland

On Saturday my husband surprised me with a trip to Disneyland! We drove to California on Monday and went to Disney on Tuesday. It was so much fun! Alice and The Mad Hatter are my favorites so I had to snap a few pics with them. I also went for The Red Queen mickey ears...because was there any other choice?

We found this cute little cupcake place when we went shopping. The cupcake is practically a work of art.

So yummy!
Have you been to Disneyland or California?

DIY: Easter Egg Bath Bombs

The other day I made these bath bombs and they actually turned out pretty well!

What you'll need:
1/2 cup Baking Soda
3 teaspoons Lemon Juice
1/4 cup Sea Salt
1/2 teaspoon Peppermint Oil
2 teaspoons Coconut Oil

Step 1: Combine the baking soda and sea salt in a large bowl and whisk together.

Step 2: In a separate bowl combine the lemon juice, peppermint oil, and coconut oil.

Step 3: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. There may be some fizzing during this step. It's normal.

It should look kind of like this. If it feels too dry then add some water. Squeeze some together and if it hold its shape, then that's perfect!

Step 4: Get any shape container for molds. I used a cake pop container, but you can use whatever you have. Put the mixture into the molds, pushing down so it's nice and tight. I filled six.

A rare sighting of me in my glasses.

Step 5: Let dry in the molds for 2 hours.
Pop them out and set on a towel. Let dry over night.

Step 6: Spread coconut oil on top of one half, then set the other half on top to make an egg bath bomb.

You're done!

These smelled so good and made my skin so soft.
The only problem I had was that they didn't fizz in the bath but disintegrated in the water, which was fine with me.

If you try this take a pic and tag me on instagram or twitter! I'd love to see it! You can find me @ChriSimonton

Have you ever made bath bombs?
