Don't Bother OOTD (Docs & Lazy Oaf)

 Dress-Lazy Oaf

This past weekend we took a little trip to Flagstaff, which is one of my favorite places on this planet! It has the best coffee shops, vibes, and people.

We did a bit of shopping, and drank all the coffee, of course.

I wore this sweater dress because it's a bit cooler in Flagstaff, unlike where I live, where it feels like hell itself.
I love the saying 'Don't Bother' although I keep telling my husband I need to add 'Me' to it. Haha!

And the pink Docs have been a staple in my wardrobe lately. I love them sooo much! I am the biggest fan of Docs and never thought I would have a gorgeous pink pair, but the website Dolls Kill had them and I snatched them up!

Can we talk about the jumping pic for a sec?? Those never work out for me! I always look super weird, but I think this one turned out! YAY!!

Alice in Wonderland Inspired Outfits!

“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."

I have loved Alice In Wonderland for a very long time! I even collect different editions of the book, so I have an abundance of Alice's sitting on my shelf. I LOVE IT!
On my YouTube I've done a Harry Potter LookBook and an American Horror Story Lookbook, and I thought it was Alice's turn!

For the first outfit I was inspired by the blue dress. I modernized it with the converse and ribbon around the waist, and of course, you can't go wrong with those sunflower cat ears.
The tea party is such an iconic scene I wanted to include a teapot, which I got from a thrift store I believe.

The Queen Of Hearts

"Well, the fact is, Miss,
We planted the white roses by mistake,
The Queen she likes 'em red
If she saw white instead,
She'd raise a fuss
And each of us
Would quickly lose his head"

The Queen of Hearts is one of my favorites. I love how crazy she is. Painting the roses red is one of the best scenes in the movie I think, so I took all the inspiration from that.
From the giant rose and red paint bucket to the 'You Used To Be Weird' jacket.
Can we take a moment for that jacket. Holy. Moly. I think it was made for me! What a gorgeous piece of work!
And the pink shoes! I know. I know. But she's a RED Queen. Yeah, but this is my version of her. This outfit was definitely the funnest to shoot.

Vintage Alice

So...Hot Topic came out with a vintage style dress for a few different Disney movies, and Alice was one of them. And that was that. I had to have it.
The print on the bottom with the Alice In Wonderland story on it is so gorgeous.
The floral heels look very vintage to me. Does anyone remember the flowers in Alice who sing? There's the inspiration. :D

You can't see it, but the blue choker says 'Time For Tea' and the necklace is tea cups. Hot topic know's how to do Alice In Wonderland right!

What's your favorite Disney movie? I'm dying to know!

Spring Style!

 Top-Wet Seal
Pants-Wet Seal

 Romper-Wet Seal
Hat- Wet Seal
Jacket- Ralph Lauren

 Dress-Wet Seal

Wow. Christina you love Wet Seal!?
I guess Wet Seal is closing, and they were having a massive sale to get rid of everything, so I snatched up a ton of stuff from the sale and had Spring in mind.
Especially that first outfit. All the spring vibes! The striped pants and off the shoulder top is all I want to wear this Spring. It is so comfortable and cute!

That second outfit is what I would call a transitional outfit from Winter to Spring, as it has Winter colors but the design of that Romper makes me think of hotter weather...and boy do I live in a place where there is no shortage of scorching hot weather.

And the third outfit is more of a sporty 'let's go outside and have some fun' style. Matching the converse with the style of that dress seemed to go perfectly together. Putting my hair in a milkmaid braid made it even more spring. In my head braids are for Spring...right?

Anytime I do that hairstyle people like it a lot, so I'm thinking I should probably do a tutorial for it?
Perhaps it'll be on my YouTube sometime this Spring!

For now though, it's actually raining outside...raining!! In the midst of me writing this post about Spring. Strange.
It never rains here!
Spring showers bring May flowers!

Valentine's Day OOTD & MOTD

 Dress-Hot Topic
Shoes-Hot Topic
Purse-Hot Topic

Can you tell I have a thing for Hot Topic lately? I just cant help it! I love so many movies and shows and that shop always has my fangirl needs. I know at first glance this doesn't look like it's from a  movie or show.
Look closer.
Do you see it now?

It's all Alice In Wonderland inspired!
And Alice is my absolute favorite...I think I say a lot of things are my favorite, but I truly mean it when it comes to Alice!
Every time I see a copy of an Alice In Wonderland book, I buy it. No kidding.
I have a lot of different covers. Maybe I'll do a little vid showing my collection some day.

The dress is Queen of Hearts inspired, which just might be too perfect for Valentine's Day. It's got a lot of little heart details. When it came in the mail this dress was way too small! I need to make a note to listen to the reviews of everyone who said it was wayyyy toooo smallll.

Soooo I asked my husband what to do. Then I came up with the idea to corset the sides of it, and my husband is the one who did it! What a guy!
Because I didn't understand how to do it, and he can  read instructions and understand anything.

The shoes are also queen of hearts. There's hearts all over them and on the inside is the cartoon Queen of Hearts! Adorable!

The purse got me all kinds of excited! You can clearly see Alice and the White Rabbit! I'm a little obsessed with it!

American Horror Story Inspired Outfits

Outfit One:

Jacket-Ralph Lauren
Top-Victoria's Secret

This first AHS inspired makeup/outfit is from the first season Murder House.
My favorite season (although Coven is too)!

Tate is a very intriguing character, and this particular makeup is shown very briefly in the show. The outfit is also inspired by that scene. I'm trying not to spoil anything if people haven't seen it, because this part is HUGE.
Obviously he does something disturbing and scary. It is American HORROR story after all. But I've always loved this makeup on him.

Outfit Two:
 Hat-Burlington Coat Factory
Top-Hot Topic
Bag-Dysfunctional Doll

The saying 'On Wednesday's We Wear Black' became a huge internet thing when Coven came out. A Mean Girl's quote twisted to fit the witchy vibes of Coven.
And Hot Topic has the perfect shirt for it. I love the detail on the back!

 Outfit Three

 Umbrella-Burlington Coat Factory

This outfit has American Horror Story written all over it. From the black dress to the knee high boots to the umbrella.
This is Coven.

I remember watching Coven for the first time and I loved the outfits the witches wore. I especially liked the umbrella's. Their's are so cool and decorative. I went with your average everyday umbrella, but I think it still has really cool witchy vibes.

These shots were taken in downtown Phoenix. Not quite New Orleans, but definitely a taste of it.

What's your favorite season of AHS?
