OOTD: Polka Dot Love

Dress-Gifted
Tights-Kushy Foot
Shoes-Payless
Sweater-Forever21

I feel very 1920's in this outfit, which is great because I love the fashion! Very Gatsby if I do say so.
I stumbled across these polka dot...um...things on the ground when taking pics and it was the perfect spot for this polka dot outfit!
The hairstyle is one I stole from Zoe Sugg, I admit it! It's in one of her hair tutorial video's and I thought it was so cute! It's like getting a haircut without actually getting a hair cut. All the fun without the commitment. :D

Who's ready for a party at Gatsby's?

DIY: Chalk Hair Dye

There was a time when I had pink in my hair (with blonde) and also red. It took forever to get my hair back to blonde, and I'm the kind of person who would like to add crazy colors and then go back to blonde the next day...and hey! I found a way.

I'm sort of an artist so I have a lot of art supplies and I hadn't used my pastel's in forever! While browsing the internet I found someone talking about putting artist's chalk in hair to temporarily dye it cool colors, and it totally works!
Super easy too!

Just get whatever pastel colors you want. I went for blue and red (superman colors!). All I did was wet the chalk and a chunk of hair, then rub the chalk on it. After that I dried the hair with a hair dryer, although I think you can let it air dry, but I was crunched for time because I was about to film a video.

And that's it! It washes out too! If you have darker hair I imagine it might be a bit of a struggle to get the color to show, but apparently it's possible.

I've also heard that sidewalk chalk works too, but it's not very pigmented, so I'm going to stick with my art chalk. :)

Have you ever tried this??

MAC 'Speak Louder'

It's become a tradition that I get a MAC lipstick in my stocking every year for Christmas, and this year I got 'Speak Louder'! (Good job husband)
This is my first Cremesheen and I really like it. It's super moisturizing and comfortable to wear.
And the color is just gorgeous. It's a very natural pink, and it looks super pretty on.

I also like the name of this lipstick. Usually I think lipstick names are eye roll worthy, but this one's OK.
Speak louder.
It has a nice ring to it.

I think it makes a great everyday lipstick!

OOTD: Black and White

Hat-Target
Jacket-Gifted
Dress-Gifted
Tights-Sock Dreams

I think Black & White pictures are so beautiful. They're always my favorite, and I've never done a full outfit post in just black and white, but I think for these shots it works really well.

The cat tights really make this outfit special! They are my favorite find from Sock Dreams so far. If you're a crazy cat person, then these are the tights for you!

And I had been eyeing that hat for a while, finally giving in the last time I stopped in at Target. It's my perfect winter hat.

Home Haul

I received quite a few things for my home for Christmas this year, so I thought it was about time I did a home haul!

My mom got me all of this wonderful sunflower stuff! I especially love the sunflower clock! It's so pretty and so me! And the sunflower bowls are just adorable.

I have an obsession with mugs.
And The Wizard of Oz.
And Starbucks.
The jar cups are a new favorite! Love them!

Those little coke salt & pepper shakers are the cutest! And the camera picture holders were a perfect addition to my house.

I stumbled upon the Alice in Wonderland wall decor in Hobby Lobby and could not be happier about it!

Travel Diary: Flagstaff...Again!

I don't do a ton of traveling, but it's one of my most favorite things. Have I mentioned I'm going to Europe from February 25-March 10? :D

A few weeks ago we took a trip to Flagstaff, Arizona. It's about a three hour drive from where we live. I pretty much told my husband that I wanted to do a "special" winter OOTD in the snow and a LookBook. Also, there is a really old hotel in downtown Flagstaff that a bunch of famous people stayed in, and it's supposed to be haunted, and I really wanted to stay there!

I didn't snap any pics of the hotel or the room. Shame on me! But here's us in the room. I told Jason to do something funny so he slapped himself. Ha :)

One of my favorite places in Flagstaff is this organic coffee place that is conveniently right across the street from the hotel.

I didn't manage to take any pics of the hotel, but there seems to be an endless amount of coffee pictures. You can see what's important to me.

When we go to Flagstaff we always shop and shop and shop. There are so many cute little shops, and I bought presents for my mom and dad while there, and I may have picked up a little present for myself too. I just had to buy that yellow scarf!

Ah, the adventure in the snow, where I stumbled around and spun around attempting to get pretty shots for a video and blog post.

Conversation-
Me: I'm going to sit. Take pics and a video.
Jason: OK.
Me: Tell me when.
Jason: OK. I'm taking a video.
Me: *sits* *gets cold* Are you taking a video?
Jason: Yes.
Me: Oh.

Jason is the perfect person for the job! :D

This giant Christmas tree was right in the middle of downtown.
And I loved it!

Happy New Year!
Everyone knows how much I love Europe. England, France, Italy. You name it, I love it. Or the idea of it, because I've never been! Although that's all changing soon!
This Eiffel Tower shirt is sooo cute. My family knows how much I love Paris, so when I opened this for Christmas I was thrilled.

I'll be going to London and Paris this February. Exciting stuff!!!
Do you have any fun trips planned for the new year?
