Travel Diary: Cemeteries of London

"God is in the houses and God is in my head
And all the cemeteries in London
I see God come in my garden, but I don't know what he said
For my heart it wasn't open
Not open"

As we strolled through London one day we came across a park. An unusual park.
Because it was a cemetery.

Well, technically it was a park, but it was a cemetery first, and when it became overpopulated it was turned into a park. So there are tombs and gravestones everywhere!

It's one of the coolest and creepiest places I have ever been.

There were people sitting on benches and dogs running around. Just a normal park to everyone else.
But it's not everyday you see gravestones lining the walls of a park you happened to stumble upon.

  1. That's so weird aye. how does a graveyard suddenly become a park. people decided to walk their dogs and hang out at the cemetery so much they turned it into a park. but what I don't get is why anyone would want to hang out at a cemetery in the first place. I have seen it all. where I live cemeteries are considered freaky. No one stays after dark.

  2. This is a really cool spot and you've captured it so beautifully and hauntingly with your stunning shots and words! Such a gorgeous photo of you and Jason and loving your red lipstick. Such a beauty you are Christina! Sometimes it's all the more wonderful when you stumble across a location unexpectedly. Makes it all the more interesting to capture on camera ;)

So glad to see you have arrived safely back in the US & I can't waiiiiiiit for your vlogs. Too exciting! Was so amazing to meet you and Jason at long last, made me so very happy and hope we can all meet again one day in the not too distant future! :D :D

  3. I'm pretty sure this place is really close to where I go to uni but I'm not entirely sure (maybe there are just a lot of park cemeteries around?!)
